The Untold Truth Of Home Again With The Fords

I enjoyed restored by the Fords so was looking forward to this. This show didn't even come close to their prior show. There was very little reno/design/decor content in episode 1.

HGTV needs to terminate this experiment, this creepy contrivance. Lee Ann Ford is the worst on the network, which is tough to do when they're also broadcasting Tamara Day and 'Bargain Mansions'. This is the show for white economic elitists; the Fords' and their clients reek of the same privilege, assumptions and lack of concern for money, and terrible 'taste'. While they are spending the client budgets on more expensive materials and fixtures, the outcomes somehow seem less than impressive given the budgets. Leanne is just as annoyingly spacey as before, but Steve seems a bit more grounded and doesn't come across as quite so out of it as he did on the previous show. The final rooms still seem thrown together and filled with assorted junk.

We’ll ask you to confirm this for your first post to Facebook. Tributes have poured in for Mr Dare and his family through a GoFundMe page set up last Tuesday in the wake of the tragedy. 'I am sure there are many screen printer artists that could easily design one especially for you. I am sure also that the thousands of mourners would be prepared to wear a Ford shirt on the day also,' another suggested. In his Facebook post, Mr Richards shared a smiling photo of himself, his mum Kerry and Mr Dare wearing his beloved Ford singlet. Two college sweethearts just bought an old Victorian in a charming Pittsburgh neighborhood across the street from their cousins.

They have little individual identity or taste, so they just reflect the irreality of Lee Ann's 'design' with generic platitudes from any typical issue of Architectural Digest. For fans of family-oriented home makeover shows, Home Again with the Fords may be right up your alley! The first season of the renovation show, which premiered on HGTV on Tuesday, Feb. 2, follows siblings Leanne Ford and Steve Ford as they rebuild and restore homes for clients as they move back to the cities and towns they grew up in. Leanne has terrible taste, Steve tries to stop her. I wouldn't hire her on take any designing or decorating suggestions from her.

Leanne is the designer and Steve is the builder — similar to Property Brothers stars Jonathan Scott and Drew Scott— and the siblings make an incredible tag-team duo as they tackle projects for the clients in their hometowns. "People all over the country are now returning to the places they grew up. And what a wonderful place to be," Leanne told the network in a recent interview . "It truly is a privilege to help people come home again, and to create a space they love." Mr Dare had a love for the iconic car brand, with his stepson Corey Richards taking to social media on Saturday to ask for a specific Ford singlet to bury his 58-year-old stepdad in. Home Again With The Fords follows sibling duo Leanne and Steve Ford as they head home for some Steel City-style home renovation projects and help people move back to where they grew up. The houses they transform have a lot of love and history in their walls, and Steve and Leanne’s challenge is to respect their past while updating the homes for the new generation.

HGTV fans are somewhat divided on the new show, though. According to Loren Ruch, the Senior Vice President of Programming and Development for HGTV, Home Again with the Fords is basically an evolution ofRestored by the Fords . The series features seven hour-long episodes instead of thirty-minute episodes and focuses more on the stories behind the families featured on each episode, as well as the Fords themselves.

"I love to be able to do that. I like being able to do that for a client, too. We go into their house, and this is their opportunity to make it exactly how they want. And we get to help them. It's pretty special." "The new season is special to us for so many reasons," Ford said. "We now have hour-long episodes, which lets us dive more into the client's stories, which directly impact design decisions" (via Pittsburgh Post-Gazette).

It's difficult for me to understand how another series with the pair got to go ahead. Steve added, "It's great to work with my sister, Leanne, and she pushes the limits of design. It makes my job challenging, but it's worth it in the end." Each episode of this new iteration has made me more disgusted, as the weird creepiness of the Fords' dynamic is paraded in the 'banter' and camera-facing narratives.
